Leysin

Located in the Bernese Alps, Leysin (pronounced "Leysan") enjoys spectacular views across the Rhône Valley towards the (Dents du Midi). Leysin is situated at an altitude of 1,263m. It is about 1.5hrs from Lausanne.

It started as one peaceful and relaxing morning at Mont d'Or ...

Then we took the long way round through Lavaux. Seems like the Autumn has started? Some vine leaves had turned orange and the grapes are ripening.

They say that in Dezaley the grapes for the wines are very special; They are heated directly by the sun, the reflection of Sun from the Lake, and the daytime heat retained in the old terrace stone walls which are released during the night!

The Road to Leysin.

Arriving at Leysin, we stopped at Le Gare and enjoy Movenpick ice cream. Yummy.

We got plenty of souvenirs at this little shop.
