Returning to Australia

After 2 months in Indonesia we returned to Australia.










Tante Yani drove us to Solo. There was a big truck accident near Boyolali and thanks to her we could find another way through the villages.










We had enough time during the transit in Singapore to look around. Singapore MRT is fast and clean.










Taking a bus tour, we stopped at the big Singapore "Eye".










We could see a lot of parts of Singapore from the heights. It also had a recorded historical tour of Singapore. After that it was time to feed the fish below.










Of course we went to the famous Merlion before heading back to the Airport.










Soon we left Singapore.










The beautiful Australia morning sky greeted us from outside the window. Getting home, Ariel was very pleased the Brown-Eye is ok. Also, the bird which hurt its wing before was ok after 2 months inside the house. We let it go and it flew well!

Eyang returns home

Eyang Ito's operation went well so he could go home. We picked him up from Rumah Sakit Elisabeth in Semarang.










On the way home we stopped at Pizza Hut near Gombel.

Dik Nindya arrived

Dik Nindya arrived from Algiers to visit us in Salatiga.










Great times at Jambewangi.










We went for Bakso and also went fishing the next day in Muncul.

Eyang to Elizabeth

Eyang went to Rumah Sakit Elizabeth in Semarang for operation

Borobubur!

Ariel loves this chicken Porridge. She called it Borobubur :). They open every day in the morning, in front of the Catholic Church on Jalan Diponegoro.

Andrew's haircut

Andrew took a haircut at Satria, dad's favourite barber since he was in school!










It was closed when we arrived to avoid the queue so we had a play at Lapangan Pancasila. After that we went for video games at Ramayana Plaza.

Selo Pass

Selo pass is a scenic mountain road between Boyolali and Magelang. It is built between mount Merapi and Mount Merbabu. WE










We left Salatiga very early in the morning to view the Sunrise at Ketep.










The view was breathtaking.

Besides amazing scenery there is also Merapi Museum and theatre. The film about the volcano was amazing.










Eyang thought Ariel and Andrew how to do sports!










We saw a giant moth. Returning to Salatiga we stopped at New Selo. The cloud was hanging very low.

Shopping in Solo

After visiting Sangiran we drove to Solo. We parked at the nice Manahan square with it big Beringin Trees.










Then Mum and Eyang Kupu walked to the nearby souvenir market.










While Ariel and Andrew went on a becak circling the square.










On our way home we saw Mount Merapi under beautiful sunset.
