Broc Chocolate Factory

After visiting Gruyeres cheese factory, we went to the township of Broc to visit Caillers Chocolate Factory.

There were plenty of tourists and we had to wait for about 15 minutes. Luckily the english-speaking tour started earlier and we moved ahead. The tour started with various displays and exhibitions about chocolates, how it started in the Aztec empire, how it was brought to Europe, etc. Cailler was the first person to modernise chocolate production and is now part of Nestle.

We got to taste raw chocolate beans from all around the world. They tasted different from each other.

We can see how the chocolates are produced by the machines. At the end of the tour there was a room where we could eat all the chocolates we wanted!
