Anzac Dawn Service

Ariel wanted to attend the Anzac Day Dawn Service, so we woke up at 5am and stood in the cold morning for an hour at the local RSL. It is a tradition where Australians respect their war casualities. It was our first time to attend.

Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand, and is commemorated by both countries on 25 April every year to honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who fought at Gallipoli in Turkey during World War I

The ceremony was typical Australian - simple and straightforward.

The day was foggy and freezing
